Work by Jeffrey Till while Design Principal at Perkins +Will  Chenggong District, City of Kunming, China  How can new Chinese cities bring measurably high performance master planning into the design process? This sustainable development project, completed in conjunction with the the City of Kunming, China Energy Foundation, and a consultant team led by Gerding Edlen Developers, shows an analytical, holistic approach to the question. Invited by Yongxin Development to provide a conceptual design for a typical "super block" portion of Chenggong district currently in development, the team provided engineering and economic strategies designed to evaluate and model key systems (energy, waste, water, mobility) to show long term feasibility.
